COMMERCIAL Sharemarket Quiet But Firmer At Close
Turnover was reduced on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, but prices were firmer. Canterbury Frozen Meat, Christchurch Gas, J. J. Niven, Whakatane Board Mills, and Woolworths (South Africa) changed hands at higher prices. Southland Frozen Meat and B.H.P. were easier, and other business was written at unchanged prices.
