A Family Affair
A nine-year-old Friesian cow, Sunnyibrae Domino Aida, her daughter Hazeldene , Domino Angela aged six years, and her granddaughter Hazeldene D. M. Agnes, aged three years, have completed lactations averaging 8141 b of fat in the 1959-60 testing season to establish two new breed class records and a record three direct generation group average under a 305 day test for New Zealand. The respective fat averages -were 6731 b, 9311 b and 8371 b. Angela with her 9311 b of fat established a new mature cow 305-day record for all brdeds, and Agnes with her second lactation yield of 8371 b has set a similar record for a heifer of .any breed calving under three-and-a-half-years under a 305-day test. These cattle are in the HazeldeneFriesian herd of W. A. and C. F. Slater, of Papatoetoe.
