“LONG SERVICE DECORATIONS”
Counsels Comment On Traffic Convictions (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 8. Traffic conditions in modern cities these days were such that convictions for traffic offences were "merely long service decorations,” said Dr. A. M. Finlay to the Transport Appeal Authority (Judge Archer), at a sitting in Auckland today. The comment, made after several references to traffic convictions against appellants in taxi licence cases was greeted with applause by some of those attending the hearing.
