Arnold Appointed As First-Class Umpire
(N.Z. Press Association-Copyright) LONDON. December 7. J. Arnold, who played against New Zealand in 1931, has been appointed a first-class cricket umpire. He also won international honours at soccer, playing for England against Scotland in 1933. Two others have b?en appointed to the first-class list for next season. They are J- Hammond and F. Pakeman. They replace H. G. Baldwin, E. Davies, and H. Elliott, who have retired.
