BROWN LOSES TO CAMPARI

Joe Brown, the American negro holder of the world lightweight boxing championship, was outpointed .by Giordano Campari, the Italian champion, in a 10-round non-title fight last night. Brown finished the fight bleeding from a cut on his right cheek though the injury was later stated to be slight. The crowd of 8000 did not attempt to hide their disappointment at Brown’s poor display and he was frequently booed and whistled.
