A cinemascope screen and stereophonic sound throughout are included in the new Church of Christ, New Zealand, to be opened in Mount Albert road. Mount Roskill. on Sunday night. “We live in a jet age, and we do not believe in presenting the Gospel in a wheelbarrow.” the assistant pastor (Mr M. R. Illingworth) said yesterday. Bells in the church are electronic; twinchannel stereophonic sound equipment runs through the whole building; and one wall becomes a cinemascope screen for 16-milli-metre films.—(P.A.)
