N.Z. Rabbits In “Broiler Wai”
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, December 8.
New Zealand rabbits were entered in a “broiler war” with chickens in London yesterday. The rabbits were exhibited at the national poultry show—nibbling away in cages while their feathered rivals clucked, quacked, and gobbled around them. Their breeders—who claim an eight-week-old, four pound white rabbit produced under intensive breeding conditions has more flavour than a broiler chicken — hope they will soon make a strong impact bn the British broiler market.
