(New Zealand Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Dec. 8. The National Government will have a majority of 13 in the House of Representatives. In the final 'count, declared today, in the one remaining marginal electorate, Manukau, Mr F. L. A. Gotz, the sitting National member, 'increased his election-night majority of six to 245. Before the Manukau, where there has been considerable house-building in the last three years, was being freely picked by some observers as a seat that Labour would win from National. Instead, Mr Gotz improved on his 1957 majority of 159. In the new Parliament National will have 46 seats and Labour 34. In the last Parliament Labour had 41 seats and National 39
