CLAIM OVER POWER-SAW
Reserved Decision Given
, Holding that the evidence established that a power-saw was sold by the plaintiff to the defendant. Mr Raymond Ferner. S.M., gave judgment for £75 to the plaintiffs. lan and Winifred Randall, partners in a logging contracting company (Mr R. J. de Goldi), in a reserved decision. The defendant, M. W. Palmer, a labourer (Mr I. S. Cameron and Mr C. W. Talbot), was awarded £35 9s 4d of a counter-claim for £93, which was claimed as the amount he was underpaid in respect of a contract to cut timber at Bankside between July and November, 1958.
In the claim, which was heard on November 16, the plaintiffs alleged that Palmer had taken the power-saw, valued at £75, with him, after working for them in 1958. Palmer had claimed that the saw was in exchange for cutting quantities of timber.
