AIR SERVICES DELAYED
Bad Weather In Wellington
Bad weather in Wellington yesterday caused several N.A.C. flights to and from Christchurch to be altered or cancelled. A plane from Christchurch to Wellington at 7.30 a.m. was diverted to Palmerston North; a plane from Whenuapai to Christchurch, due at 12.50 a m., was 50 minutes late; a plane due to leave Christchurch at 1.20 p.m. was delayed until 2.10 p.m., and a plane from Paraparumu via Blenheim to Christchurch, due in at 2.35 p.m.. did not arrive till three hours and 40 minutes later. The normal services between Christchurch and Timaru were cancelled. The passengers were taken in planes operating on the Dunedin-Christchurch run. Two Viscounts which make afternoon flights from Christchurch to Wellington and return were 20 minutes late on all the flights. A flight from Auckland to Christchurch by way of Wellington, due here at 5 p.m., did not arrive until 6 p.m. The return flights of three freighters to Wellington were cancelled. '
