Film Advertising

Sir, —As the parent of four children under 16, I wish to inquire who is responsible for the unsuitable captions advertising the film at the Regent Theatre in “The Press” today. If compulsory film censorship is to serve its purpose in this country I would suggest that film advertising be given the support of equally responsible people.— Yours, etc., H.R. November 18, 1960. [The manager of the Regent Theatre (Mr H. J. Hart) replies: “The advertising copy being used in connexion with the film, ‘A Summer Place,’ is that supplied for world distribution. Nothing has been added locally. In fact, excisions have been made from the original.”]
