DOUBLE TRAGEDY IN AUCKLAND
Relative’s Evidence At Inquest (Weu> Zealand Prase Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. An inquest was opened today by the Coroner (Mr A. Addison) into the death of James Clifford Kauri Norton, aged 28, a photo engraver, who Was found dying in the grounds of the Kingseat Psychiatric Hospital, Auckland, on Saturday afternoon soon after his mother, a patient, was found dead, apparently The dead woman was Mrs' Mabel Laura Norton. Evidence was given by Norton’s brother-in-law, Walter James Rodgers, who told the Coroner: "He was a strange man, quiet and moody, speaking only occasionally.” Questioned by the Coroner, the witness said Norton had brooded on things all the time and seemed to be getting worse in the last few months. The inquest was adjourned.
