MR HOLYOAKE AT AUCKLAND
Warm Welcome At Mission Bay (Aew Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr Holyoake) received a rousing reception from more than 1250 persons at the Berkeley Theatre, Mission Bay, tonight. Mr Holyoake swept aside interjections to pound home his arguments to accompanying cheers and clapping. There was a capacity crowd of 750 in the theatre, and all seats were taken half an hour before the meeting started. Another 300 jammed into the lounge attached to the theatre to hear his address by loud speaker, and 200 more stood outside in the foyer and crowded around a loud-speaker van on the footpath. The audience was a lively one, with the interjections coming mainly from a minority of young people.
