SUNNY STORY WINS
Warwick Farm Results (N.Z. Press Association —Copi/riohti SYDNEY. Nov. 20. The New Zealand stayer Sunny Story had his first Australian win at Warwick Farm yesterday when he started favourite at 5-4 In the Warwick November Handicap. Because there are no staying opportunities for him in Sydney until the end of December. Sunny Story probably will be sent to Melbourne to run in a 13-furlong race at Moonee Valley next Saturday. Yesterday, backed from 5-2 to half that price, the gelding came from his usual position at the rear of the field. * . .. The last of the 10 runners at the home turn he finished over the last furlong with a terrific run which swamped the leaders. He beat Ulandra by three-quarters of a length, with Sawan hull a length away third in a photo-finish decision over El Rocco. Sunny Storf is a six-year-old by the New Zealand-bred stayer Golden Souvenir, which has sired a number of long distance winners, including the Sydney Cup winner. Gold trainer Cec Ryan was impressed with Sunny Story when he saw the gelding on avisit to New Zealand earlier this yearAs a result of his persuasive efforts with the New Zealand owner. Mr favourite Khwof the Cartie was another New Eealand horse successful at Warwick Farm yesterday. He won the Hourlong Warwick Fam Novice bya length and a quarter from Donna Caioona (6/1).
