Waimairi-Ilam Road Link
The Waimairi County Council intends to proceed with a new g road link between Waimairi and s Ilam roads. The council resolved to give , public notice of its intention to , consider an application to the 1 Local Bodies’ Loans Board for a 7 £60,000 loan to cover the cost of 1 acquisition of land and cost of the roading, and requested the council’s officers to prepare a form of ® proclamation to be considered at * the next council meeting. 1 Discussion on the road link was e taken in committee but the County Clerk (Mr K. Maclachlan) '• was empowered to make a state--1 ment to the newspapers after the ■ meeting. e
