UNIVERSITY EXAM. RESULTS
Council May Discuss Earlier Release Because of protests over the date for the release of university examination results the matter would probably be discussed at the university council meeting on November 28. though it was not on the agenda, said the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canterbury (Dr. F. J. Llewellyn) yesterday. Dr. Llewellyn said that the decision to release examination results had been made after careful study of the administrative problems connected with releasing an ever-increasing number of results. “If it is found that the results can be issued earlier than December 19 then the council will endeavour to do so.” The release date had been announced during the first week of October. Notices were placed on student notice boards, and to make certain those connected with the university knew of the date the information was released to the newspapers. “That was two weeks ago, and it is only in the last few days there have been complaints, and most of those were anonymous letters to the press. The Teachers’ College committee and Mr R. K. Milne at the Education Board meeting are the only others to make a protest,” said Dr. Llewellyn.
