STUDENTS’ BUS IN ACCIDENT
Party On Tour In North Island (New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND. November 20. A group of 25 Christchurch Teachers’ College students escaped injury when a bus in which they were returning from a Northland field trip this afternoon left the road. The bus was passing a stationary vehicle about 25 miles north of Dargaville when the verge of the road collapsed. The bus was slewed into a deep water table. Luggage stored in the boot of the bus was damaged by water and some of it was lost. Two students hitch-hiked to Dargaville. where the police arranged for a Railways Road Services car to pick up the remainder. They were all given lodging at the Ardmore Teachers’ College, tonight, and are exnected to continue their journey tomorrow morning.
