Appointees holding acceptable professional architectural qualifications or later qualifying will be designated Assistant Architect and will be eligible at the discretion of a Review Committee for progressive promotion to £l4BO a year. CADET DRAUGHTSMAN—* Commencing salary of £420 a year for a cadet with School Certificate or £490 per year with University Entrance. Applicants should have some drawing ability and will be trained in all aspects of architectural draughting. SITE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER Salary up to £1220 a year for a suitably qualified and experienced person to take charge of civil engineering works connected with the development of school sites. Duties will include inspection and reporting upon proposed new sites and design of earthworks, drainage and related structures. COST PLANNING OFFICER— Salary up to £1370 a year for a qualified or £ll2O a year for a partly qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor for duties connected with contract adjustments, scheduling and analysing costs of new building projects. Commencing salaries for all vacancies will be according to ability, experience . qualifications and age. Contribution to the Government Superannuation Fund may be commenced or continued. Persons studying for examinations may be permitted to attend daytime lectures at Wellington Technical College.
