Leading French physicists, mathematicians, geologists, dambuilding engineers and industrial engineers have spent 10 months studying the cause of a crack that appeared in the Malpasset dam after- heavy rainfall. Their report also said that, contrary to first suspicions, they found no evidence of an architectural error or a mistake in the dam’s construction.
