LINGERIE IN COLOUR
Overseas Trends Followed
Encouraged by overseas trends and the practical Support they are receiving from specialty shops and lingerie boutiques. New Zealand underwear manufacturers are putting colour into lingerie and giving fashion-conscious women the opportunity to buy what they had previously Only seen in overseas magazines.
Far from being glaring, colours are soft and subtle. Even the names are inviting—golden haze, barely gray, merrie green, sunny coral, jaunty blue and ginger beige are a few of them. Co-ordinated colour should be used just as much in clothes as in decorating a room. In clothes, it should begin with the skin outwards, to tone with the darker, stronger shades of outer garments. The fact that they are not seen is of small importance beside the feeling of luxury and well-being which they bring to the wearer.
