£31,610 For CJ.C

With a receipt of £31,610 this year, the Canterbury Jockey Club is third to the Auckland and Wellington Racing Clubs on the list of distributions of T.A.B. profits. In the last 10 years the club has received £229,862.

The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club receives £23,368. The biggest return to trotting clubs is that of £65,683 to Auckland. The amount received to date from the T.AJB. by the metropolitan club is £181,718. The following amounts have been distributed to clubs by the TAB, the amount received since 1950 being given in parentheses:— Amberley R.C, £1427 (£12,258); Ashburton County R.C, £6022 (£37,457); Ashburton T.C, £6178 (£41,678). Banks Peninsula R.C, £2651 (£19,710); Banks Peninsula T.C, £1730 (£6475).
