Nursery Play Centres
Mrs E. B. Dalmer presided at the October meeting of the committee of manegement of the Christchurch Nursery Play Centres’ Association. The newly formed mobile unit, which is sponsored by the Adult Education Department, University of Canterbury, will be used for the first time art the end of the month, when it will visit the Cheviot play centre. It was announced that Mias M. Gallagher, director of pre-school services of the Department of Education, Wellington, has consented to apeak at the centres’ annual general meeting to be held next month. The resignation of Mrs P. Snell, treasurer of the equipment subcommittee, was accepted. Mrs P. Paterson was granted leave of absence. Dr. J. Small was co-opted to the committee of management and Mrs B. P. Stephens to the staff and education sub-commit-tee.
