CUP HOPES AT WINTON

Six of the seven runners in the Soldiers’ Memorial Handicap, main event at the Winton Jockey Club’s spring meeting tomorrow, are ■ candidates for the New Zealand Cup at Riccarton next month. The seventh runner in the field is Peril. Osman may prove the best of them. Garrob and Barrister, bo|h from T. E. Pankhurst’s Invercargill team, are also expected to play leading roles.
