100 ARRESTED AT AUCKLAND
Gambling, Sly Grog Charges (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 14. Nearly 100 persons were arrested tonight, when the police raided premises in New North road, Newton. They will be charged with gambling and sly grog offences. It was one of the biggest police raids ever carried out in Auckland. The arrested men and women filled the recreation hall at the Auckland central police station.
