Lesparre And Blue Lodge “The Press' Special Service WELLINGTON, September 30. The Otaki Maori Racing Club will conclude its spring meeting tomorrow, when the principal events will be the Rare Nikitinl Memorial Handicap, one mile and a quarter, and the Ruihl Wehipelhana Memorial Handicap, six furlongs—the T.A.B. double races. Although there are several fresh horses in the Nikitinl Memorial, first day form looks a sound guide and Lesparre, which was narrowly beaten last week, is favoured to turn the tables on Undergrowth, which had only a short neck to spare over his former stablemate in the Raukawa Handicap. Blue Lodge will be favourite for the Wehipelhana Memorial. This three-year-old is unbeaten in two starts this season, his latest success being in the Wanganui Guineas, in which he outclassed the field. He is a colt well above the average in ability and has sprinted brilliantly at Otaki this week in' preparation for -tomorrow's race. The forecast is favourable and the track will be in good order.
