FINE PACERS IN WORK

Highland Air And

Don Hall

Don Hall and Highland Air, two outstanding pacers more than two years ago, are back in work and all going well in the next few weeks they could' parade in the New 'Zealand Cup at Addington in November and the Inter - Dominion Championship series next February. Don Hall, a nine-year-old, has not raced since being involved in a smash in the 1958 Easter Cup at Addington. He was given a trial 12 months ago, but failed to stand up to solid-work. Highland Air is also a nine-year-old. He has not raced since May, 1958, when be finished third to La Mignon and Captain Star in the C. F. Mark Memorial Handicap ait Auckland. Both Don Hall and Highland Air have been dogged by recurring soreness during the last two years. Both are young enough to stage a comeback, but whether they will stand up to the hard work nyesraiy to fit them for a race such as the New Zealand Cup seems doubtful
