COUNTY’S POWER INSTALLATION
Work Needed In Heathcote
The Heathcote County Council’s attention was drawn to older areas, where there was much need for maintenance and the replacement of weak poles and crossarms, by the New Zealand Electricity Department in a report on the council’s electrical installation.
“It was noticed that there had been some replacement of lowpressure distribution and service line conductors that had deteriorated coverings,” the report said. "It is my duty, however, to draw your attention to the- need to continue - this work in the interests of the safety of the coun- ’ cil’s employees and others.”
"You have it all in hand?” Mr H. A. Young, the chairman, asked the electrical inspector (Mr A. “Oh, yes,” he replied.
