Duties will include writing lists of instructions for and supervising computations carried out on SILLIAC, the Department’s automatic computer. The work arises in connexion with a wide variety of problems, mostly technical in origin, and adequate guidance and instruction will be given to the successful applicant, both as regards the computational processes involved and the technique of coding for SILLIAC. It win also be possible for the successful applicant to enrol for the University of Sydney postgraduate Diploma in Numerical Analysis and Automatic Computing on a part-time basis.
