B.H.P. Decline Further In Quiet Market
Broken Hill Proprietary shares declined further to sell at 84s 6d in Christchurch yesterday. This price is 5s below last week’s close.
Markets were generally weak, and turnover was reduced. Dominion Breweries, South British Insurance, Colonial Sugar, R. and E. Tingey, Waltons, and William Cable rights also sold at lower prices. N.Z. Breweries, N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative, and Coles were firmer.
