Air Marshal Sir Denis Barnett. Commander-in-Chief of the R.A.F. Transport Command, will visit New Zealand from October 14 to October 21 as part of his annual world tour to inspect facilities used by aircraft under his command. He will be accompanied by Lady Barnett.
Mr A M. Ongley has been reelected president of the Manawatu Cricket Association. This is his fifty-seventh year as an officgr of the association. Mr C.' H. Harvey (Southland Automobile Association) was appointed the South Island Motor Union’s representative on the New Zealand Road Safety Council at the union’s annual meeting yesterday. Messrs J. A. M. Burton and M. IT. Flutey have been admitted to the New Zealand Society of Accountants as associate registered accountants. Sergeant A. K. Scally, who is in charge of the Balclutha police station -has been transferred to Addington. He replaces SeniorSergeant R. Marriott, who has been transferred to Auckland. Constable H. Tubman, of Ranfurly, has been transferred to Woolston.
