CAR HITS .POLE AT BRIDGE
Woman Suffers Head Injuries
A car crashed into a pole at the Sydenham end of the Colombo street overbridge about 5.15 p.m. on Saturday and a husband and wife were injured. They are Mr and Mrs F. E. Smith, of 9 Kipling street Sydenham. They were taken by St. John ambulance to the Christchurch Hospital and Mrs Smith was admitted suffering from head injuries and concussion. Her husband was treated at the casualty department for abrasions and was sent home.
