The Totalisator Agency Board handled a total of £367,135 10s on Saturday’s four racing and trotting meetings. This figure was made up of £173,188 in win and place betting and £193,947 10s on doubles. The figure for the corresponding day last year was £222,852 15s. Details:— Avondale On-cdurse: £145,613 Ids, up £15,219 ss. Off-course: £143,999 10s, down £682 ss. Poverty Bay On-course: £33,140 10s, down £3341. Off-conrse: £39,138 15s, up £1873 10s. Wanganui On-course: £60,572, up £6987 10s. Off-course: £108,609 15s, up £20,685 ss. New Brighton On-course: £97,103 15s, tin £6231 10s. Off-course: £75,387 10s, np £13,043 10s. Off-course Substitutes Off-course substitutes were:— Avondale: Firenze. Poverty Bay: Gallant Lady. Wanganui: Fairassan. New Brighton: Arania.
