Trainer Of Phar Lap Dies

(N.Z. Press Association —Copyright) (Rec. 1.30 am.) M hll .BOU RN R. Sept. 4. The death occurred today at Bacchus Marsh, 40 miles from Melbourne, of Harry Telford, trainer and part-owner of the New Zealand-bred racehorse, Phar Lap. He was 83. Phar Lap won the Melbourne Cub in 1929.

Painter Injured.—An arm injury was suffered by Mr Roy Peterson. a painter, of 38 Bordesley street, Linwood, when he fell to the floor at the front office of the “Christchurch Star” building in Kilmore street about 4.15 pm. on Saturday. He was taken by St John ambulance to the Christchurch Public Hospital and admitted. His condition was reported last evening as satisfactory. Mr Peterson was cleaning ceiling tiles when the accident happened.
