Judges’ Platings In Yesterday’s Classes

Excerpts from the recent popular kindergarten revue won first prize in the 10 to 15 minutes* entertainment class, when the

Ashburton Competitions Society’s festival continued yesterday. This section drew six entries, but the judges voted in favour of the Ashburton Kindergarten Mothers’ Revue Group, which appeared on Tuesday evening. The Mayflower Accordion Club’s No. 3 team was second.

The society’s special twentyfifth anniversary prize for the winner of the barefoot dance, 12 and over, was awarded to Sharyn Houison, of Christchurch. Lesley Murley, of Cobden, was second. Judging will conclude today, and demonstration concerts will be presented tonight and tomorrow afternoon and evening in the R.S.A. Hall. The judges are:—Vocal and instrumental, Mr L. P.
