Glenelg Health Camp
Dr. D. P. Kennedy, “a staunch supporter Of the Glenelg Health Camp,” was congratulated on his appointment as Director of Public Hygiene at a meeting of the Glenelg Health Camp management Committee. Dr. D. L. Cotdery, the deputychairman presided. The committee Was notified that Mr G. F. Curtis had been elected to the committee as the representative of the Christchurch Junior Chamber. Progress reports were submitted by the matron (Mrs E. Morrison), the head teacher (Mr B. I; Biggs) and Dr. Cordery for the grounds committee. Advice Was received that the South canterbury district health camp, committee had given It consideration but would not accept the committee’s offer of the use of Glenelg between November 29, 1960, and January 29, 1961.
