International Relief
Sir, —Ralph S. . Wheeler has evidently sought the root of this matter, and it would be less than courteous not to acknowledge the fact. Furthermore, one has recently seen in the press the photograph of a Russian ship delivering supplies to some stricken area, which may possibly have been the occasion referred to by Mr Wheeler; and it implies no disrespect either to him or to his Russian correspondent that one is inclined to attach more significance to such independent evidence than to sources of information behind the Iron Curtain. In the circumstances, therefore, “No Marks for Marx” may have been too niggardly an assessment, waranting an up-grading to—Yours, etc., ONE MARK FOR MARX. August 1, 1960.
