Forecast:— Canterbury.—Light to moderate winds, north-easterlies on the coast and north-westerlies inland freshening in some exposed places; partly cloudy; moderate temperatures. Outlook: partly cloudy. West Coast.—Northerly winds predominating, mainly light or moderate, but strong in exposed coastal areas of Fiordland; cloudy with occasional rain, more especially in Westland and Fiordland: moderate temperatures. Outlook: occasional showers. Nelson and Marlborough.—Light to moderate north to north-west winds predominating, freshening in some exposed places; mainly fine at first, but cloud increasing during the day; moderate day temperatures.
