Award To N.Z. Midshipman
Midshipman Michael Pate, of Richardson terrace, Opawa, who is now in the Royal New Zealand Navy, was presented the Queen’s Australian Gold Medal by Princess Margaret at the annual passing out parade at the Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. Midshipman Pate won the medal while he was training at the Boyal Australian Naval College. Jervis Bay. He has been at Dartmouth two years and will remain another four years. ” His grandmother, who lives in England, was present to see him receive the medal
