AERO CLUB’S RECORD
520 Hours’ Flying In July The Canterbury Aero Club finished its flying for July yesterday with more than 520 hours’ flying time for the month. This is a record. The club’s previous highest number of hours was 474 in June. “Club members are more’ than happy with the record,” said the secretary (Mr R. A. Pegler), yesterday. “We have aimed at the figure of 500 for a long time.” The club is also well on its way to attaining its target of 5500 hours for the year. With a third of the year gone club aircraft have spent more than 1900 hours in the air.
