PROPOSAL FOR NYASALAND
African Majority In Council LONDON, July 30 The Colonial Secretary (Mr Macleod) today proposed that Africans should have a “clear majority” on the representative side of the Nyasaland Legislative Council. But, he said, non-Africans should have enough representation to enable them to continue their “vital contribution” to the British Protectorate. The council is made up of four ex-officid members, 10 officials appointed by the British Government. and 13 other non-official members-
