MEN GUILTY OF WOOL THEFTS
Remanded In Custody For Sentence (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, July 29. As a sequel to' widespread wool thefts in the Otago district, Vincent Alfred Gason, aged 27, and Neil Roderick Haines Braithwaite aged 28, faced a series of charges in the Magistrate’s Court in Dunedin before Mr J. G. Warrington. S.M. Each was convicted and remanded in custody for sentence until August 5 pending a probation officer’s report. Detective-Sergeant A. E. Leadley said Gason had stolen property valued at £857 18s of which £385 worth had been recovered. Braithwaite had stolen goods valued at £683 6s of which goods totalling £4lO in value had been recovered. 1
