Vital Game In Basketball
The game today between the leader, Sacred Heart, and Kakatai in the basketball competition should decide the winner in the senior grade. Kakatai drew last week with Technical and is only a point behind Sacred Heart. Kakatai will be without Judy Dunlop, but if one of its centre players can fill the goal third position capably and feed the ball to Lorraine Price, one of the most successful shooters in Canterbury, then the match should be an exciting one. Sacred Heart will still be the favourite, with its two very accurate goal-shooters, Maureen Murray and Joan Martin. Margaret Neiman was penalised several times last week for coming into contact with her partner; but if she decides to watch the ball instead of her partner she will overcome this fault
