THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY LETTORE IN ITALIAN APPLICATIONS are invited for the position of Lettore in the Department of Italian. The appointment will be initially for a period of five years. Applicants, whose mother tongue must be Italian, should be graduates of an Italian university who have specialised in the study of the Italian Language and Literature. They should also have had experience in teaching at a senior level in Italy. All courses conducted by the Lettore are to be given in Italian. According to qualifications and experience the Lettore will receive the salary of a Lecturer or a Senior Lecturer. The salary range for a Senior Lecturer is £2550—x95 £3OOO per annum and for a Lecturer £l73o—Xlos—£ 2435 per anum. In each case the commencing salary within these ranges will also be determined by qualifications and experience, and a cost of living adjustment (at presene £5 p.a.) will be allowed.
