MEN ON ASSAULT CHARGES
One Gaoled For Six Weeks (New Zealand Press Association) HAMILTON, July 29. A sentence of six weeks’ imprisonment for assaulting his wife was imposed on Hapimana Webber, aged 29, a bushman, Rotorua (Mr W. J. S. Gray) by Mr Justice Shorland in the Supreme Court at Hamilton, today. His Honour said that Webber’s previous convictions indicated that he was a man of violence. Patrick Gregor Hartshorn, aged 18, a bulldozer driver of Atiamuri (Mr A. R.-Potter) was admitted to probation for two years for indecently assaulting a female.
