Rally Enthusiasts' Plans
A most successful start to the dub’s activities and plans for future rallies at frequent intervals were reported to the annual meeting of the Rallies and Trials Enthusiasts’ Club this week by the president (Mr M. A. White-Johnson). With motor-racing becoming so expensive, he was certain that rallies on the lines of European events would become more and more popular in New Zealand, and that they had the greatest potential of any aspect of motor sport Mr White-Johnson reported that the dub would held a day’s rally on August 21, followed by a major event to the Frans Josef and Fox Glaciers over Labour week-end, hdd In conjunction with the Westland Motor Club.
