Obstetrics Prize
Work on the mission field will follow the conclusion of her nursing training for Nurse W. Ferguson, winner of the Mary McLean cup for top marks in an obstetrical exercises examination. The award was made on behalf of Miss McLean by Miss S. Roll*, president of the Canterbury branch of the Registered Nurses Association, at a meeting of the association last evening at St Helens Hospital . Nurse Ferguson, who is at present taking her midwifery course at St Helens Hospital, did her early training ait Redroofs Hospital in Dunedin, and Bethany Hospital, Christchurch. She is- a captain in the Salvation Army, and she feels that her nursing training will be of great value when she takes up missionary work some time next year. After the presentation, Mrs Vent Mackay spoke on colour - and furnishings in the home. •
