THE PLOUGHMAN ABOVE is Mr J. C. Brooker, who won the first New Zealand championship at Papakaio in 1956. He was the first New Zealander to compete in the world ploughing championship. An agricultural contractor at Hawarden, Mr Brooker has just taken up a farm at Loburn. He was placed eleventh at the 1956 world match near Oxford in England.
