Record Shipment Of Railway Sleepers
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 27. The largest single shipment of railway sleepers ever to come to New Zealand—more than 11,700 tons, numbering 175,000—are being unloaded at Wellington for the Railways Department from the Bank Line cargo ship Ashbank. It is the largest single shipment ever to come out of the Australia port of Bunburry? and comprises exactly half of the requirements of New Zealand for the present year.
