SPORTSWOMEN ON HOLIDAY
Greymouth Girls To Tour Australia
Two representative sportswomen from Greymouth will leave Christchurch on Thursday for a holiday in Australia. They are Miss Ann Finnerty and Miss Patricia Fleming.
Both girls are West Coast representative players at indoor and outdoor basketball and both are experienced outdoor basketball referees. Ann has also repre-' sented the West Coast at softball and is secretary of the Greymouth Swimming Club. They hope to spend three months in Australia and are eagerly looking forward to their trip, with plans for seeing as much of Australian sport as possible.
Ann and Patricia have planned their trip purely as an extended vacation but may take temporary work in Sydney and Melbourne if necessary. In Greymouth. Ann is a clerk in the Borough Council office and Pat is a teller in the savings bank branch of the Chief Post Office. They will return to New Zealand in November.
