BRIGGS AND STRATTON

Perkins Steel and Engineering Pty., Ltd., a subsidiary of Australian National Industries, Ltd., has been appointed sole distributor of Briggs and Stratton engines in Australia. Brown Bros., Ltd, Christchurch, engineers, remain sole distributor of Briggs and Stratton engines in New Zealand.
A cablegram from Australia last week incorrectly reported that the Perkins Steel appointment was for New Zealand as well as Australia. Miss Jean McGregor, secretary of Brown Bros, said Briggs and Stratton had now denied this report. Miss McGregor telephoned the export department of Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee on Saturday.
